A cracked screen is only one of the things we fix. Charging faults, failing batteries, software crashes and all the odd problems phones develop come across our counter every day. iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel or another Android, we use quality parts and proven repair methods to do the job properly.
Fonetech York
Most of what lands on our Coney Street bench is a phone. It might need a replacement screen, a new battery, a charging repair or rescuing after a dunk in water, and we get on with it promptly. Each handset goes through the same set of checks, which means a quick job never becomes a rushed one and the phone you collect is one you can rely on.
Our Expertise
Apple and Samsung make up much of the queue, but Pixel, OnePlus, Oppo, Xiaomi and Motorola handsets are just as welcome here. Cracked glass, a battery on its last legs, a socket that won’t take a charge or a fault nobody else could pin down: we use proper tools and good parts, and the phone goes back to you behaving normally. If we have to order a part in, we’ll say how long first.
Over time, phones pick up faults: a smashed screen, a weak battery, charging trouble or a gradual slowdown. We repair iPhone and Android handsets, and every job begins with a proper diagnosis. We find the fault, explain the repair in plain terms and give you a fixed price, then get your phone working as it should.
Glass in pieces, a blank display or taps registering by themselves? We fit OLED and LCD replacement screens for iPhone, Galaxy and Pixel, and check Face ID, True Tone and touch afterwards. Plenty take under an hour.
Dropped in the bath or caught in a downpour? Switch it off and forget the rice. Our wet phone repair cleans corrosion off the board before it does lasting harm.
Is Battery Health under 80%, or does it shut off with charge left? A fresh battery is normally fitted the same day and lasts you from breakfast to bedtime again.
Calls dropping or the phone insisting there’s no SIM? The antenna, the tray and the board all get tested so we can sort the signal problem at its root.
Power button jammed or volume keys doing nothing? We repair phone buttons and their flex cables so every press counts again.
Callers sound faint, or your music tinny? We clear or swap the loudspeaker, earpiece and mic so calls come through clearly.
You shouldn’t have to think about your phone once it’s fixed. That’s the standard we work to, whether it’s a same-day display swap or hours spent reviving a phone that took a swim.
Between trains, on your lunch break or on a Saturday shop, bring your laptop, tablet or phone to the counter on Coney Street and we’ll take a look.
Yes. Qualifying smartphone repairs are covered by our warranty on the parts we fit and our workmanship. Ask at the counter for the details on your repair.
That varies with the handset and the fault. Either way, you agree a set quote before we start.
Usually yes: a new phone screen tends to be ready later that day, sometimes in an hour or two if the part’s on the shelf.
We do: glass, batteries, charging faults and nearly everything else on Apple and Galaxy handsets.
We can. The lead, the socket, the battery and the charging circuit are all tested until we find the culprit, then we fix it.
