A laptop that won’t charge, a cracked display, a battery that barely manages an hour or a machine that takes five minutes to open a browser: all common, all fixable. We repair MacBooks and Windows laptops at our Coney Street counter with proper tools and quality parts. Students, remote workers and small firms across York use our repair services to keep working.
Fonetech York
When a laptop fails, assignments stall and invoices wait. At Fonetech York we fix cracked laptop screens, charging faults, worn batteries, dead keys and sluggish performance. Your laptop is examined properly, the fault is explained without jargon, and you agree the price before we lift the first screw.
Our Expertise
MacBook, HP, Dell, Lenovo, ASUS, Acer, Samsung, Toshiba or MSI, they all come through our workshop. Hardware failures, slowdowns and everything between are handled with quality replacement parts suited to your exact model. If something has to be ordered in, you’ll know how long it takes before deciding.
Broken displays, failing batteries, keyboards with missing keys and stubborn software errors are routine work for us. We pin down the actual cause first, then use good parts to get your laptop running properly again.
A tired or swollen battery swapped out, so you can use the laptop on the sofa or the train again.
Fix sticky, missing or unresponsive keys so typing feels comfortable and dependable again, whether it’s one key or the whole keyboard.
Board-level fault-finding and repair for laptops with power or no-display problems. We trace the failed component under the microscope and repair it, rather than guessing at replacement parts.
Strip-down, clean and repair after coffee, tea or water spills. Switch the laptop off, unplug it and bring it in quickly, because corrosion spreads the longer it sits.
Clear out malware and fix the system errors that drag your laptop down.
At Fone Tech, every repair is treated with the same level of care and attention. Whether it’s replacing a cracked screen, diagnosing a charging issue or restoring a water-damaged device, our goal is to provide dependable solutions that help customers get the most from their technology.
Whether it’s a phone, tablet, laptop or another electronic device, our experienced team is ready to help.
No two jobs cost the same: a replacement battery is a fraction of the price of board repair. We look at the laptop first, then give you a set quote to approve before any work.
It varies with the fault, the model and parts stock. Batteries, charging faults and screen replacements are often quick. Once we’ve looked, you’ll get a realistic timescale.
Broken screens, battery and charging faults, keyboard and trackpad trouble, slow performance, software errors, spills, overheating and motherboard faults. Something else? Just ask us.
We do. MacBook, Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS and Acer are all regulars at our counter, among others. We look at each machine on its own merits and suggest the repair that fits.
Usually. Clutter, malware, a failing drive or too little RAM are the common causes. We’ll point you to the cheapest fix, often an SSD.
We can. The adapter, the socket, the battery and the board are each tested until we find what’s stopping it, and you hear the options and prices before anything is done.
